is a government-owned company of private law attached to the Department of Economy, Knowledge and Employment of the Canary Islands Regional Government, with over 25 years’ experience committed to science and technology as essential pieces in the socioeconomic transformation and sustainable development of the Canary Islands. We are committed to a sustainable energy transition positioning the Canary Islands as a natural reference laboratory to test energy systems. We are working on the specialisation of emerging energies with high potential in our territory, particularly geothermal, offshore wind energy and wave energy.
ITC is the main promoter of RENMARINAS Arinaga and RENMARINAS Las Palmas, which have been developed with the partnership of MEGATURBINAS S.A., a consortium promoted by three public institutions: the Port Authority of Las Palmas, the Island Council of Gran Canaria and the Government of the Canary Islands through Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias, S.A.
