RENMARINAS Testing Platforms

RENMARINAS Arinaga and RENMARINAS Las Palmas allow the testing and demonstration of renewable marine generation infrastructures, which have been identified as key elements in the national energy transition and, especially, in regions such as the Canary Islands.

These facilities, located in the island of Gran Canaria, are intended to meet the needs of the sector, offering the possibility of testing marine energy technologies in a bench test that has all the necessary means, such as those related to electrical connection and monitoring equipment.

These platforms are promoted by Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias, S.A, a research organization created by the Government of the Canary Islands and whose main social objective is the performance of functions in the field of Research, Development and Innovation and, specifically, in the Canary Islands region.
